Hello, welcome to Halal Cast, a production of the International Halal Academy!

Do you know what Halal is? It is a lifestyle that originated in the Islamic tradition and advocates the health and safety of people, animal welfare and environmental preservation, among other principles. This ethic, considered “permissible for Muslims”, is reflected in the production of food, beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and also in fashion, tourism, entertainment and finance. And that is all what we talk about in our podcast!

#01 - THE HALAL MARKET

In this first episode of Halal Cast, you will learn about the Halal concept, what the Islamic market is and why it is essential for the Brazilian economy. You will also learn what companies should do to sell their products to Muslim-majority countries. Omar Chahine, director of commercial intelligence at FAMBRAS Halal, the first Halal product certifier in Brazil, and Delduque Martins, executive director and secretary general of the International Halal Academy, were present.
#02 - DEMYSTIFYING ISLAM

In the second episode of Halal Cast, we will better understand the Islamic religion, which currently has almost two billion followers worldwide and is the “birthplace” of Halal. The guests are Mansur Peixoto, entrepreneur, digital influencer and content producer about Islam, and Sheikh Ali Momade, who holds a degree in Languages and Literature, a Master’s in Social Sciences and a PhD in Political Sociology. Both are professors at the International Halal Academy.
#03 - MODEST FASHION

In the third episode of Halal Cast, the topic is modest fashion. This is a segment of the Halal market that has been growing year after year, although it is not a style restricted to Muslim women. And the person who explained this concept was a special guest: Mag Halat, influencer and creator of a successful modest fashion brand, By Mag.
#04 - HISTORY OF HALAL IN BRAZIL

Mohamed Zoghbi, president of FAMBRAS Halal, the first Halal certifier in Brazil, talks about the opening of this market to our country. The story, however, is not only from someone who knows this story in depth, but also from someone who followed this movement closely. The Halal market currently generates millions in foreign currency for the national economy and has made Brazil one of the largest suppliers of Halal food in the world.
#05 - HALAL PRESENCE IN THE BRAZILIAN MARKET

Some companies are already offering their Halal-certified products here in Brazil. One of them is Korin, a pioneer in raising chickens without the use of any antibiotics, anticoccidials, transgenic grains and with animal welfare. In this episode, we welcome Mariana Nagata, Marketing, New Business & Product Development Director at Korin, who spoke about this moment for the company, and Mansur Peixoto, an entrepreneur, digital influencer and content producer about Islam, who explained, among other aspects, how Halal slaughter takes place.
#06 A MUSLIM WOMAN ON SOCIAL MEDIA MEET MARIAM CHAMI

Muslim Mariam Chami is already a celebrity on social media. And you'd be wrong if you thought that the largest group of her followers – more than a million on Instagram alone – profess the same faith as her. The overwhelming majority are people who are informed and entertained by her relaxed way of talking about Islam and the cultural aspects that permeate it. In this episode, Mariam talks about her work on social media and how she deals with being a reference for Brazilian Muslim women.
#07 - LEADERSHIP IN THE ISLAMIC VIEW

Mazloum was inspired by the leadership exercised by the Prophet Muhammad to promote reflections in all people - Muslim or not - on the importance and need to be a good leader at home, at work and in any other instance where a person has people under his responsibility.
